For your treatment, your provider will collect a small sample of your blood. The blood sample will be placed into a centrifuge, a machine that separates the beneficial blood plasma from the red blood cells. Then, PRP is injected into various areas of the scalp.
For this step, your provider may use a variety of anesthetic techniques to minimize any pain or discomfort.
After a PRP treatment, you may experience some swelling, discomfort, or tenderness in the treatment area. However, these side effects typically fade within a few days.
