About the Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship
Goodman Dermatology is ACGME-accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education to offer and train the next generation of Mohs surgeons across the country. Our Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship program was accredited on July 1, 2022.
We offer a one-year medical education fellowship in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology to any board-certified dermatologist. Our program is only one of three ACGME-accredited Mohs fellowships in Georgia, and the only program in Georgia to be approved for two Mohs fellowship positions each academic cycle.
Goodman Dermatology is one of the only private practice dermatology programs in the country, establishing its own ACGME-accredited dermatology residency program in 2013 and achieving the highest accreditation in 2018. Working in a private practice setting, our Mohs surgeons get one-of-a-kind, hands-on training and experience in private practice management, while still having strong foundations in educational and research support with ties to our sponsoring institution, Larkin Community Hospital.
We have state-of-the-art Mohs surgical suites at our Roswell, Ga., location, dedicated to meet all the surgical needs of our community. The new facility also provides the foundation training and mentorship to our rotating Mohs fellows, residents, and students from all over the country.
We can’t wait for our patients to experience these new and exciting additions to Goodman Dermatology as we continue to grow, improve, and deliver the very best of care to our patients.
We look forward to all prospective Mohs fellow candidates interested in joining our team of practitioners in serving the greater Atlanta area!

Mohs Fellowship Program Overview
The Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology (MSDO) Fellowship is a one-year fellowship program, accepting two fellows per year, who must have successfully completed a dermatology residency program prior to starting. The program affords the fellow the opportunity to work with two fellowship-trained Mohs surgeons and to interact with medical oncology, radiation oncology, surgical oncology, plastic surgery, and oculoplastic surgery.
ACGME programs are recognized by the ACMS (American College of Mohs Surgery), and fellowships accredited by these organizations safeguard the standards of Micrographic Surgery & Dermatologic Oncology by ensuring that fellows-in-training are properly trained and acquire the necessary expertise to perform the Mohs procedure. Our accredited program follows a structured curriculum that includes graded responsibility, operative and non-operative education, and exposure to long-term results, recurrences, and complications in both private practice and hospital settings.
