About Dr. Suening
Dr. Barbara Suening was born and raised in Jersey City, N.J. She graduated magna cum laude from Thomas Jefferson University with a Bachelor of Science in biology. She continued her education by earning a Master of Arts in Biological Sciences from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine – Virginia Campus, and completed her medical education at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine – Carolinas Campus.
During medical school, Dr. Suening founded her program’s Dermatology Interest Group. Given her creative background, she was naturally drawn to the visual aspects of the field. She was additionally captivated by its investigative nature and the unique ways our skin can offer clues about underlying conditions.
Dr. Suening completed her transitional year at the University of Central Florida/HCA North Florida Hospital and is an active member of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys staying active, experimenting with new air-fryer recipes, and hosting game nights.
She is excited to be part of the Goodman Dermatology family, and she looks forward to providing comprehensive, personalized care for her patients.
