About the PA Fellowship Program

The Goodman Dermatology PA Fellowship is a structured, competency-based postgraduate training program designed to develop highly skilled, efficient dermatology PAs.

  • Duration: 3-12 months; Flexible.  based on experience
  • Patients/Day: 40+; High-volume clinical exposure
  • CME Hours: 52; SDPA 18 Modules; AAPA-accredited Category 1

Our fellowship combines elite clinical training with real-world, high-volume experience across the Goodman Dermatology network — medical, surgical, cosmetic, adult & pediatric.

Integrated Academic Didactic Training

All fellows complete the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants Diplomate Fellowship Program.

  • 52 hours of AAPA-accredited Category 1 CME
  • 18 structured dermatology modules
  • Case-based learning and assessments
  • Nationally recognized credentialing

Fellowship Structure

Phase 1: Foundational Training

  • Core derm: acne, psoriasis,
    eczema, skin cancer
  • Biopsies & cryotherapy
  • Dermatopathology introduction
  • 20 patients/day target

Phase 2: Clinical Acceleration

  • Progressive autonomy in patient
    care
  • ED&C, excisions, injections
  • Mohs surgery & cosmetic
    exposure
  • 10 to 20 patients/day ramp

Phase 3: Advanced Practice

  • 20-30+ patients/day target
  • Advanced procedural mastery
  • Efficiency, coding &
    documentation
  • Practice-ready competency

  • Demonstrated diagnostic competency
  • Procedural proficiency
  • High-efficiency clinical workflow
  • SDPA Diplomate Fellowship completion

Credentials Earned

✓ Goodman Dermatology PA Fellowship Certificate
✓ SDPA Diplomate Fellowship Program completion

Eligible to state: “Fellowship-trained in dermatology through the Goodman Dermatology PA Fellowship; completed the SDPA
Diplomate Fellowship Program.”
