Dr. Dorothy Fernandez is a board-certified dermatologist in Smyrna, Ga., who is dedicated to providing exceptional care and prioritizing her patients’ well-being. She offers expertise across a broad spectrum of medical and surgical dermatology, treating both adults and children. Her clinical interests include the prevention, early detection, and treatment of skin cancer, as well as the management of various skin conditions such as acne, eczema, hidradenitis suppurativa, psoriasis, warts and cysts.
Dr. Fernandez completed her dermatology residency at a busy public hospital in Chicago that is widely recognized for its diverse patient population and complex dermatologic cases. This experience equipped her with extensive expertise in treating all skin types and ethnicities.
Committed to staying at the forefront of dermatologic innovation, Dr. Fernandez integrates the latest evidence-based therapies and treatment regimens into her practice. She has authored publications in leading dermatology journals and presented her research at both local and national conferences.
An Atlanta native, Dr. Fernandez returned home after practicing dermatology in private practices in New York City and St. Louis, bringing her breadth of experience and compassionate approach to patients in her hometown.
