About Namita Kumar
Namita Kumar, PA-C, joined Goodman Dermatology in June 2021. Namita has almost 15 years of experience in the field of general, surgical and cosmetic dermatology; her expertise includes but is not limited to examinations and treatments for acne, rashes, warts, and skin cancer screenings. Namita is also well trained to perform surgical procedures such as skin biopsies and the removal of skin cancers, moles, cysts, cosmetic removals, Botox and filler treatments.
Namita completed her undergraduate and medical studies in India, where she was born and raised. During her training, she spent time across dermatology and ophthalmology, and ultimately, she completed her residency in ophthalmology. After practicing as an eye surgeon for many years in India, Namita and her family moved to Atlanta, and soon after her arrival, she enrolled at Emory University School of Medicine. Here, she received her Master of Medical Sciences through Emory’s prestigious physician assistant program. Additionally, she is a proud member of the specialty groups, Georgia Dermatology Physician Assistants and Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Namita and her family enjoy living in the North Georgia suburbs. In her time away from work, she enjoys cooking, traveling, running and playing with her Cavachon puppy. We are excited to welcome Namita to the Goodman Dermatology family.
