Meet Our Resident Physicians
Dr. David Lemchak
Dr. David Lemchak is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He attended the University of Pittsburgh at its Greensburg campus for his undergraduate education, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. Dr. Lemchak then attended medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine at its Seton Hill campus. It was during his medical school career that Dr. Lemchak discovered his passion for dermatology. Upon graduation of medical school, Dr. Lemchak completed a Traditional Rotating Internship at UPMC Altoona Hospital in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Dr. Lemchak is a resident at Goodman Dermatology come July 1, 2018.
As part of the Goodman Dermatology team, Dr. Lemchak is driven to provide highest quality of care with both respect and compassion for every patient.
Outside of dermatology, Dr. Lemchak enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing guitar, and pursues multiple interests in sports and fitness.
Dr. Haley Lewis
Dr. Haley Lewis was born and raised in Panama City, Florida. She attended the University of Florida where she earned both a Bachelor’s of Science in Microbiology as well as a Master’s of Public Health degree with a concentration in Environmental Health. She then when on to attend the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine in Dothan, Alabama as part of their inaugural class. She was a founding member of various interest groups as well as a member of Sigma Sigma Phi, a national Osteopathic honors fraternity. She completed her internship at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton, North Carolina.
Dr. Lewis strives to provide her patients with the highest level of care and compassion. Her love for Dermatology was discovered early on and she enjoys her days immersed in all things skin related. Dr. Lewis is a resident at Goodman Dermatology come July 1, 2018.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Lewis enjoys spending time with her husband and family, cooking, playing with her dog, Cooper and spending time at the beach (with copious amounts of sunscreen, of course!)
Dr. Ashley Ahlquist
Dr. Ashley Ahlquist was born and raised in Sarasota, Florida. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida (Go Gators!!), where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and developed her love of college football. She then went on to obtain a Master of Science in Medical Sciences from the University of South Florida. Always knowing she wanted a career in medicine, Dr. Ahlquist attended medical school at the Lake Erie College of Medicine Bradenton Campus, where she dedicated much of her time to community outreach and youth mentorship programs. It was at this point that she discovered her love of dermatology and passion for helping others feel better about their skin.
After graduating from medical school, Dr. Ahlquist completed her Traditional Rotating Internship year at Larkin Community Hospital Palm Springs in Miami, Florida. Although she enjoyed her upbringing in the Sunshine State (lathered in sunscreen), she is excited to be one of the newest members of the Dermatology Residency Program here at Goodman Dermatology. Dr. Ahlquist is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to each of her patients, and looks forward to serving you and your individual needs.
When she’s not in the office, Dr. Ahlquist enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her pup, Brucey. She loves exercising, practicing yoga, traveling, and all things outdoors from boating to snow skiing.
Dr. Heather Ivy
Dr. Heather Ivy was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She achieved her master’s in physical therapy from the University of Oklahoma (Boomer Sooner!). She practiced as a physical therapist for 2 years as she obtained further coursework to apply for medical school. She attended medical school at Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences, where she was awarded Student Doctor of the Year and was inducted into Omega Beta Iota, a Political Action Honor Society.
After graduating from medical school, Dr. Ivy completed her internship at Oklahoma State University Medical Center. She completed two years of residency in diagnostic and interventional radiology, then gladly accepted the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to complete Dermatology Residency at Goodman Dermatology in Roswell, Georgia.
Dr. Ivy considers political advocacy for her patients as a vital responsibility as a physician. She has held numerous leadership positions for the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), and is currently serving on the AOA Bureau of State Government Affairs.
She loves seeing a diverse patient population, from infants to mature adults, and patients of all cultural backgrounds and skin types! She is dedicated to saving lives, by treating/preventing skin cancers, and enhancing patients’ lives by increasing confidence in their appearance.
In her free time, she enjoys being outside hiking trails with her husband and two dogs, a golden retriever and Irish setter/poodle mix. She loves spending time with her family in Mississippi and Oklahoma. Dr. Ivy also enjoys watercolor painting, pilates, and college football.
Dr. Kevin Pennycook
Dr. Kevin Pennycook is a native of Troy, Michigan. He completed his undergraduate education at Michigan State University Honors College with a degree in Human Biology with High Honor in 2015. Dr. Pennycook attended medical school at Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated in 2019. During medical school, he served as a lab instructor for anatomy, histology, and pathology. Dr. Pennycook fell in love with dermatology during his clinical rotations after experiencing the impact he could have on his patients’ lives. After graduation, Dr. Pennycook completed a Transitional Year Internship with Wayne State University at Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital in Rochester, Michigan.
In his free time, Dr. Pennycook enjoys a wide range of activities. He lives an active lifestyle and enjoys golf, fitness, and hikes with his Golden Retriever pup Rosie. Dr. Pennycook is a big sports fan and never misses a Michigan State Spartan football or basketball game. He recently found interest in cooking and loves grilling out in his backyard with family and friends.
Dr. Pennycook is excited to join the Goodman Dermatology family and is eager to serve the northern Atlanta community
Dr. Michael Roberts
Dr. Michael Roberts was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. He attended college at The Ohio State University where he obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology and Psychology. He has spent over 2 years working with underprivlaged youth and voluntering at the Suicide Hotline. He also spent 1 year providing quality control at a major pharmaceutical company. He left to pursue an education at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. This is where he found his passion for Dermatology and Research. Dr. Roberts proceeded to undertake his Traditional Rotating Intership focused in Internal Medicine in Hattiesburg Mississippi at Merit Health Wesley.
Dr. Roberts approaches each patient with compassion and respect. He plans to provide the top quality and care to all his patients.
Outside of Medicine, Dr. Roberts enjoys working on classic cars, hiking, and going to the beach. Dr. Roberts will take any chance he gets to be with his family, friends, and his cat Taco.
Dr. Keith Pennycook
Dr. Keith Pennycook was born and raised in Troy, Michigan. He graduated from Michigan State University Honors College with a degree in Human Biology with High Honor in 2015. Dr. Pennycook attended medical school at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated second in his class in 2019. He became interested in pursuing a career in dermatology during his clinical rotations at Michigan State. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Pennycook completed a Transitional Year Internship as the Chief Resident with Wayne State University at Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital in Rochester, Michigan.
Dr. Pennycook is a huge fan of the Michigan State Spartans, particularly the football and basketball teams. His favorite sport is college football but he is also a big fan of the Detroit Lions, Pistons, Tigers, and Red Wings. Dr. Pennycook’s favorite hobby is golfing and he enjoys many other outdoor activities as well such as, jet skiing, boating, and taking his Golden Retriever for a walk. Family is very important to Dr. Pennycook and he is extremely happy to have the opportunity to continue working with his twin brother, Dr. Kevin Pennycook.
